Like the rest of the internet, I have aurora photos to share after it’s surprising appearance last week. This is only the second time I have been fortunate enough to enjoy this spectacle, and the first time here in Pennsylvania, which is usually too far south.
Unfortunately, by the time I found out it was visible, it was already starting to wane. My first few shots had the strongest reds, and I managed to capture a bit of green before it largely faded away.
The short notice meant I was shooting from the backyard, which wasn’t ideal in terms of setting and light pollution – but still, I’m thrilled just to have had the opportunity!
