Vibrant Summer

Winter comes with its own inherent beauty, cold blues and pristine snow.  But there’s a point each year when I start to yearn for the vibrancy of spring and summer, and the huge swath of greens that go with them.

I think I’ve reached that point…

Looking through photos from last year that I’ve yet to share, and this one jumped out at me.  Those greens.  So lush, so alive, so warm and welcoming.  Especially beneath that cloud-splattered summer sky.  I hiked this same trail the other day and paused at this very spot, thinking of how significantly different it looked.

There’s at least 6-8 weeks of winter remaining, before spring arrives and the green begins to creep north again.  In the meantime, it’s nice to see reminders of what’s ahead!
