Dasies

A pair of wild daisies, photographed several days apart with miles between them.  Daisies are the quintessential summer flower, unassuming and friendly.  I’ve yet to meet anyone who doesn’t like daisies.

Photographically, however, these two shots are at opposite ends of the spectrum.  The first photo was taken up close with a 9mm lens at f/2, while the second photo was taken at the minimum focus distance at 400mm and f/6.3.

Despite the technical gulf between them, the results are visually very similar, a single blossom isolated from the background.  Goes to show that there’s more than one way to capture any photo.
