Ice

Trekking along the East Branch of Wallenpaupack Creek while shooting some winter landscapes, the fine details in the ice caught my eye.  The long crystals, slender and delicate, are reminiscent of a geological formation, while in the second photo, it appears that a upwelling of water somehow froze in place, it’s fine details captured in the ice.

The processing on this is a digital emulation of Ilford HP5+ film; back at university I took some film photography courses, and HP5+ was our film of choice, making its rendering both familiar and comfortable.
