Lakeside Trail

Early autumn along the Kennedy Creek Inlet trail, trying to catch peeks of the lake through the trees.  This short trail is my favorite at the park; less than a mile, it follows the short from it’s start near the bridge over the lake until it’s terminus at Kennedy Creek, with a spur near the midway point that visits a small point, which juts into the lake.

It is not a dramatic trail, and there are no cinematic views along the way.  But in the afternoon light the leaves glow, especially in autumn, and it’s always pleasant to walk near the water, and so I find myself returning often, and am never bothered by the lack of surprises.
