Song Sparrow

A nod to the simple song sparrow, often overlooked.  In fact, the entirety of the sparrow family may be overlooked by birders and photographers alike, at least in my experience.  Members of the sparrow family tend to be common, and some, such as the house sparrow, are invasive, which earns them a certain ire.

Indeed, song sparrows can be found in almost any marshy area, pond or lakeside, in my area.  Yet their song is no less sweet for it, and when one offers to pose well within lens range, I won’t pass up the opportunity for a few captures.
