Spring Blossoms

A callback to spring, before the heat set in!  This collection comes from both the Berkshire Botanical Gardens and the nearby Audubon Canoe Meadows Wildlife Sanctuary.

Photos 1, 4, 6, and 8 are, of course, apple blossoms, which are a quintessential springtime standard.

Photos 2 & 3 are the somewhat gnarled branch of a cherry tree, where I wanted to highlight the moss and rough texture of the bark, keeping the pink blossoms in the background.

Photo 7 was a delicate surprise: azure bluets, which stand only couple of inches tall, rising from a mossy bed.

Photo 5: bittercress blossoms.
