Tenmile Autumn

The leaves are fully down now, but I’m still enjoying the glory of autumn through photos I captured, including this set that goes back to last year, where we rounded out a visit to Narrowsburg, NY, with a visit to the historic Tenmile bridge in nearby Tusten.

From what I could tell, there isn’t much to Tusten, at least not anymore.  But Tenmile River is enough on its own!  The river – more of a broad creek during my visit – cuts down through the mountains to merge with the Delaware River just past the historic stone bridge amid a patch of small waterfalls and worn stone outcrops.

It was a lovely setting on an autumn afternoon, even a bit past peak foliage.  Tenmile has that quality which I can’t quite define, but which makes me want to just start walking and see what I can find around the next bend.  It was very tempting.
