Back on the water, back at Promised Land’s Upper Lake, on a soft October evening leading up to sunset. Being on the water offers new vantage point, to say nothing of the opportunity for reflections of foliage and sky in still waters!
The water wasn’t still when I started out, but over the course of an hour or so it settled down to a near-mirror finish, especially in the little arms and bays out of the reach of the breeze.
Warm evening light + fall foliage is a photographer’s dream, and it was one of those outings where I found myself very content, being there in moment with my kayak and my camera and a measure of peace and silence in the world.
